Not very clear the statement below.

Who is the retirement home for?.
I'm guessing it's for the bored, wealthy pensioners. NOT for the 'ordinary pensioners' who live on a pittance. Will this fit in with their Green Strategy. I mean, all those Mercs and Jags on the Estate. Or will they force them to have small shopping cars ?. Even worse a communal electric bus so they will be virtual prisoners. How secure will they feel ?. more about security later.

This I don't believe !

Dartington is a pioneering charity nurturing ideas to address pressing problems. We work for advancement of the arts, sustainability and social justice.
Their words not mine.
Pressing problems. ?..... Unemployment... They are shedding workers not making jobs .
Sustainability..?........The only thing sustaining is management positions...
Social Justice..... Where is the justice in making people homeless and taking away their livelyhood, their sense of worth and trampling on loyalty.?......
The only reason they are interested in the Arts is because there is funding for it.If the International Summer School did'nt get funding would they still put it on.?.....

The Infamous school.

Some of the greatest kids I ever met were pupils at Foxhole School. There was no bullying because the kids wouldnt stand for it. Although there was as tough patch with the school for scandal tag. The school was no worse than say Kevics and in many respects it was a whole lot better.The decision to close it I believe was done for reasons other than they stated. It could have recovered if the will to make it succeed had been there. You only need to look at Park School and Sands School to see that it was possible. I have met many ex pupils and not one has agreed with the decision to close. Once again proof that the 'organisation' is weak willed.
In the end the building was left to rot for many years.
Similar story could be written about Aller Park. It is criminal that such a wonderful building had been left . Excuse after excuse put forward for reasons why it was beyond repair.Only the intervention of a councillor actually saved it from being demolished. Eventually getting the building listed.
Shrouded in mystery the reasons why Anita Roddick of BODY SHOP fame,pulled out of putting 2 Million pounds into the place. One rumour being that the 'Trust' wanted to impose stupid conditions. 1 being that they would require the building for 6 weeks per year for Summer School.

Why the name?

Dartington has been in my life for over two decades, the good times and the bad times.
I had many questions and most were left unanswered.
Also doubts to their committment to their ethos.
Here I will add my questions and try to fathom out their reasoning or lack of.
